By chance, does this product make using USB on the DAC2 (non-SE) compatible again with an El Capitan Mac? ... or will the combination of DAC2 + El Capitan Mac still self destruct when connecting via USB?

Randy, chops-tube,,

You got the Recovery on my radar screen with your insights and enthusiasm and deserve credit for that. Dan's credibility from a list of fabulous reviews and DIY's longer than my arm moved me over the edge to try it. I don't see the conflict here nor do I see the forum doing anything more than acting like an adult community building on everybody's strengths. Too bad you feel slighted but it took a village to get me to try this and you both played a big part.

Craig

Spoken like a true Binghamton boy .... yea I couldn't resist.... I guess the south side breeds civility ....

Oh, in case anyone gets the wrong idea, Craig and I both grew up on the south side of Binghamton (me a little further out south, but I still claim to be a south sider). Therefore I will eventually have another piece of McIntosh gear in my system, just can't afford it yet building the entire system from scratch over the previous few months. I mean when you grow up in their back yard.....

Eventually I would love to listen to a McIntosh amplifier compared to my Goldmund. It is just an lot to put out just to do a comparison ....

I am sorry, but I cannot answer this for you. I know that some Wyred 4 Sound employees use Mac based systems. I would suggest giving them a call. They might be able to answer this. And yes, they have an actual human answering their phone!!!

I am 100% Windows based. I actually now have three computers dedicated to my sound system ....

So Dan gets ALL of the recognition in the world for a product only because he does an "official" review of it for the forum, yet the two guys that have had the Recovery in their systems for nearly two months, reviewed it and have an entire thread devoted to it get absolutely no recognition whatsoever?!

Sure, we had a few members comment on the Recovery in our thread, but Dan comes out with his review of it, now all the big players come out of the woodwork and jump on the bandwagon. Then someone starts carrying the Recovery to sell along with another item that I originally recommended to Randy and others, the iFi iPower. Yet still no credit where credit is due.
Charles.......Holy mackerel. Sorry to see you harbor so much anxiety over not being specifically credited with giving the Recovery positive posts on this forum. I read every post you and Randy made in the Recovery is now shipping, plus discounts thread. You and Randy presented much good information throughout that thread. I can see where you would consider all of those posts as a review.

So here you go, Official Recognition for a job well done.

Please take a deep breath, put on some favorite tunes, and relax. Life is too short to lose sight of the good things.

Randy.......Me, silly? You bet. I had to do something to lighten the load. My Wyred 4 Sound Recovery Review thread was starting to get heavy.
