It's gonna be pretty fun to compare notes with you as we get to know the Alexia in our homes.

I'm coming from Sasha 2's and you are coming from what...the Raidho's that you just sold?

Certainly. First off, no speaker is the ultimate & final solution -- there are pros and cons and plusses and minuses when one is comparing speakers as you well know.

Having said that, let me say what I know I'll miss from the Raidho in comparison to the Alexia. It's that Raidho ribbon delicacy which it's known for on certain types of music. What I won't miss is the Raidho having trouble with bass heavy notes -- that is a slight deficiency and not meaning to degrade the Raidhos at all. I love 'em & if I could afford the $70K diamond coated D3.1's, which addresses the bass issue, game over. Happy camper.

Now, what will I gain with the Alexia? A slightly easier speaker to push with the MC2301's and boatload of dynamics would be my first thoughts. Kick down bass with extremely clean sound with no break-up is the second expectation.

I believe I have made a good decision w/no regrets as I wait the delivery truck.:thu mbsup:

Best Sir,

Bob

Sitting here reading the on line manual on line -- 74 some pages (will open the array box tomorrow and get the tools out, printed manual, etc). Thought this was interesting:

"Break-in Period

All audio equipment will sound best after its components have been broken in for some period of use. Wilson Audio breaks in all drivers for approximately 12 hours. All drivers are then tested, calibrated, and matched for their acoustical properties. In your listening room, expect 25 to 50 percent of break-in to be complete after two hours of playing music at normal listening levels. Ninety percent of break-in is complete after 24 hours of playing. Playing a CD on repeat overnight can accomplish this task quickly. Wilson Audio recommends chamber music for this task."

Sounds easy enough.

Best

Bob
