Velodyne Fans?

I had a JL F112 and was happy with it when I had all McIntosh gear.
I have now switched to Shindo Labs amp and pre-amp. The Jl Subs do not have a high level or speaker input so it wouldn't work with the Shindo gear. I debated between the REL subs and the Velodyne but the DD10 Plus won out because of it's versatility in being adjusted to suit the room and the fact that I got a very good deal on it where the local REL dealer kept trying to push me to buy a B&W sub and wasn't even interested in selling me a REL.
I'm not sure if the DD10 PLUS is the same as the MKII. I just know it is brand new and even their website doesn't have any info on it yet.

That must be it. I was ordering the standard DD10 but my dealer said they were no longer available. Of course there was a price jump with the PLUS version.

Upon studying the website, I found the DD+ provides some improvement based on spec alone. For example, the 10" DD+ actually goes lower than the 12" DD.

Picked up the DD10 PLUS subs last week and I have to say they are incredible in my room. I placed them behind my main speakers and used the auto Q to set them up. Output is off the charts, where I would have my old F112 at max for movies, I can only go to 50% with these puppies. For music they are tight,
quick, and solid. I considered my JL F112 an excellent sub, but these are definitely a major step forward for my system. I can't imagine the output of a pair of larger Velodynes. They would crack concrete.

I have heard nothing but the best regarding the new Velodyne DD+. I could swear though, that Velodyne stole the name from my GF's bra size.

Velodyne is always a good bench mark once you get a budget number - They have a sub for every price point - Subs are what they do and they do consistently well - You might not end up with one but at least you'll have a reference

I had Velodyne FSR-18 back in 1998. Quite disappointed in many way.
It made some vibration noise from inside since new, found out to be a wire hitting something inside during heavy bass moment. Later on it made weird noise out of a driver,
turned out to be a faulty servo control system, cannot repaired. the new driver would cost me >1,000 $. So I just sold it declaring that the price excluding driver.
