I've heard it, but I think it's too early to be heading down this road. Stay with your Burmester at least until the end of the year. It will all have broken in by then, and you'll be able to make a considered decision.

Even when some is good, more isn't always better.

Who said I was getting rid of my Burmester?

Jon,

I am seriously enjoying my VAC preamp. It is stunningly amazing. You can't have it.

That's all right, I really didn't think you'd give it up if you gave it a chance. Like I said, GAT is good but VAC is better.

You aren't hearing close to what the GAT can do unless you use the SRA platform underneath it. The SRA transforms the sound of the GAT; don't ask me why but the noise floor drops through the floor and it all of a sudden the unit has dynamics up the wazoo. Maybe these Teflon caps are more sensitive to vibrations?

She's a beauty. Does all VAC gear have separate power supplies?

Joe, that VAC amp has your name all over it! Can't wait to hear your impressions. I know they are forthcoming....
