My pick for best sound of show...I might be a little biased. Midrange was particularly magical in the Nagra/Wilson setup.


The Constellation/Wilson setup was also good, but I think the room hindered what I know it is capable of.


Raidho was great as usual. I went out of that room thinking they lacked bass, only to come back later and hear different tracks which made me change my mind. They are really special and look amazing.


Never saw Bryston speakers look like this. I've only ever seen woodgrain. Gary was playing great music in this room!


Joseph Audio was also playing great music...this room seriously rocked. I loved the R2R.


The W4S room was very nice sounding. It's kind of funny how their gear is smaller than usual but they paired so well with monster speakers!


Magico M6's are MONSTERS. Static display only, unfortunately. Ed found a flaw in the carbon fiber, they said it must have been hit, but I'm not so sure. I was surprised to see a flaw in something so meticulously crafted.


Tidal is an interesting brand. SUPER expensive and absolutely gorgeous. I couldn't really get a feel for how good they sound because they were turned down pretty quiet, and only played smooth jazz. Ed talked to the salesman quite a bit, he was cool, but I don't know if I'd spend half a mil on this setup. Salesman called it "the bugatti of stereos".


Esoteric/Canton room was great, and we met Ken (planarspeakerfan) there. I pretty much learned that I need a new clock for my K-01x


Looks like Buck is a Bob Carver fan!


Elac (Andrew Jones) continues to impress me with their value. These 5k speakers easily beat most 15k speakers and I am not exaggerating.

What I learned is a lot of guys registered late and got small rooms, challenging their equipment, but guys that registered early, plus commitment got front slot.

Well, just got back home from RMAF 2017, it was a lot of fun, I really enjoyed meeting the guys there, shoutout to Richard George, Marc (2fastdriving) and son, Ed (Fortheloveofmusic), Steve (SL1800), Tom (W9TR) and Bill (metaphacts). You guys were all class acts and I enjoyed hanging out with you guys talking gear and music.....maybe you all could rub off on my wife. Ha! Anyway, gonna put some thoughts together and post our pictures as well, enjoyed a great steak dinner at Del Friscos on Saturday night. If anyone was on the fence about attending and can make it happen in 2018, do so! Had a blast and maybe we can make the AA/Legend Audio Video room happen with some good graces from Ivan and the rest of the gang.

I drove a little over half way home this evening. I completely agree with Buck, I had a great time hanging out with fantastic bunch of AA guys and listening to some good audio. I found it amazing how much we all agreed on which rooms sounded good and which were not so good. I also spent a little time at CanJam and will write my thoughts on that tomorrow. Night all.

Druid VI. Not sure about the peach tree but I think there's just a couple similar models in their line. I took some more pics that I can upload later.
