At least the NHL is rethinking the start of the Finals. The announced that they were to begin on Friday the 5th, but it Pitt sweeps and Detroit winds Wednesday that would be a least an 8 day layoff. They are talking to NBC of pulling it up to this weekend with the first two games back to back of Sat and Sun.

I'm not impressed with NBC's coverage at all. The local Tampa affiliate was dicking around with thunderstorm warning banners all game. They knock the signal out of HD and drop it down to 4:3, then leave it that way for like 15 minutes at a time. And for whatever reason, the picture looks better on NBC if I drop to 720 and use component vs HDMI. No such issues on Versus. At least neither of them have that crazy glowing puck that Fox tried a few years ago!

Wow, what a game. Both goalies were super. The stop by Huet as regulation time expired was something else. Well the Cup Finals starts this Saturday and Sunday. Go Wings
