Nice. I love the look of classic Yamaha gear. Sometimes I think the style of the old stuff is better than the new gear.

Stephen.......Sweet system. I still have my Micro Seiki DD-40 turntable upstairs in the main system. It does a fine job. I'm glad to see you still have yours.

Love it. Went into a NYC coffee bar last year with a friend who frequents the place and the dude (they are always called the dude, except if it's starbucks or a woman pulling shots) was spinning vinyl on what appeared to be a complete Sansui system from the early 70's including those large-ish bookshelf type speakers with the diamond lattice work on the grills. Sounded pretty nasty, but the 'concept' of vinyl was what was cool. Made me want to get some of that dry look hair spray and throw on a little cologne.

The system looks great Stephen. Love the cabinet and the "pushed up to the wall" speakers. That's the way we used to do it.
I remember my dad's system, McIntosh tubes, Barzilay cabinet, Bozak speakers (pushed up to the wall just like your speakers). I was amazed at the sound and hoped, beyond hope, that maybe someday I would have something that sounded that good. I know about your "other" stuff. How does this system compare? P.S. I also love the painting - tell us about it please. JP

Stephen,
Are the Yamahas by any chance a CA-810 and CT-810? |
