I knew this was coming, but can't afford either new unit anyway.

Only using the units in youtr system will allow you to determine its effectiveness. All i can say is the APC units are gone and I've purchased 3 Pure Power 2000's.

That beeing said, I'm looking forward to compare my PP2000 to the new PS Audio units ! I one had a PS Audio P-300mk2, and may go this route again.
I have been weighing my options on various power products for my system for some time now. I have considered replacing my APC S-15 with a Pure Power unit for my pre-amp and source components. I have also considered replacing the two Power Plant Premier's on my amps with one or two of the Transparent PowerIsolater MM2 units.

I am not concerned about having battery back-up on my amps but I think it is critical to have this option on my sources especially the two servers. This gives me time to properly shut down that gear during extended power outages.

I found no sound quality differences when I replaced my APC unit with a PPP on my sources and pre-amp. If I had I would have ordered a matching PS Audio Power Pack unit for battery back-up purposes.

Based on the comments of others I thought about trying one Pure Power 1050 which should easily handle the power demands of my source/pre stack. As noted above I do not see any need to replace the two PPP's on my amps with two Pure Power units with battery back-up capabilities.

Any reviews yet on the new P5?

Are they taking trade in-ups from a PPP?

I have gotten a few P5 and P10's, they went out as fast as they came in.

I saw an ad in something on line from Stereophile. I think it was their monthly email newsletter and there was a dealer in there, I believe in Iowa, that was doing trade in's on the new units for the PPP's You may want to check that out.
