Yep, will do. And, agree. That’s sorta why I don’t wanna part with my beloved Inspire Hot Rod amp too early for monos. The next version could change within the next 72hrs Might have to compare 'em side by side.

IMHO, you should discuss your power needs with Dennis to avoid disappointment.

My current system:

CARY CD-300 (gold panel)
Inspire Triode SET (release December 2017)
Inspire LP-3a (release December 2017)
ProAC 1SC (just bought new from old stocks)

I have an idea to switch to CARY CAD-300SEI (old release) - I do not know if this is a good idea ...

If those are the Mono Block 300B amps, Dennis loaned me his personal set (Ahem) awhile back, and I was severely underwhelmed. IMO, The new Inspire gear sounds better...

It sounds like he’s looking at trading the Inspire amp/preamp for a 300B integrated.

The 300B by default sounds a bit like an old man’s tube. It’s been a while since I heard Cary stuff, but I like my Inspire stuff better now. I do know that the parts quality for the Inspire amps is higher than the older Cary stuff.

If I were trading my Inspire gear for a 300B amp, it would have to be a significant step up.

yeah, I sent him a note. I'm not sure the answers to my questions are technical ones. I'm liking the Inspire Hot Rod stereo amp with KT150s more so now and guessing I would need to hear the Monos first hand to better understand how and why they sound better if they turn out to be the same total wattage as the stereo amp. More iron, etc.

Quite right.

I found a buyer for my "Inspire". Found a proposal for the CAD-300SEI (1995, also with a gold panel, like my player.).

At the same time I can not compare. Both options seem good, and the speakers are still on the road for delivery.
