Anchor Bay’s DVDO Video Scaler/Processor
Anchor Bay’s DVDO Video Scaler/Processor Home Theater News Video Processors-Switchers News Written by AVRev.com Thursday, 17 September 2009
Releasing later this month, Anchor Bay has announced the release of their newest high performance processor, the DVDO iScan Duo. The iScan Duo sports eight HDMI inputs capable of processing 1080p signal at 24, 50, or 60 Hz, as well as HD audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. Anchor Bay’s latest processor is capable of sending out a pair of HDMI 1.3 signals simultaneously to a pair of displays, and a third audio only HDMI signal out to a receiver or audio processor. The format preferred by your display is auto detected and selected by the Duo, though the choice can be overridden. Upscaling is handled by Anchor Bay Precision Video Scaling II, which is capable of taking signals up to 1080p at 10 bits. Progressive Re Processing (PReP) is unique to the DVDO, and takes a poorly de-interlaced signal, re-interlaces it, and then de-interlaces it again using Precision Deinterlacing. Other features include Mosquito Noise Reduction which aids in eliminating that annoying video noise from compressed video, Precision A/V Lipsync which seeks to eliminate video lag and Edge Enhancement which, well, enhances edges. Shipments are due in late September, and the DVDO iScan Duo will be selling at $1,299. |
