Hi, lately, I enjoy so much with the sound of Oyaide 004 plug/IEC when put on MIT Oracle AC2 Ac cord. this 004 has the same plating as one AudioQuest use with WEL power cord, just not with expensive aluminum body. Now how to get rid of weird sounding expensive Furutech FI50 ?? I saw my nice sounding RSA HZ cable is factory terminated with gold plated Furutech plug too.

power plugs & IEC connectors index ? ???????????????????????????????oyaide?

The 004, which I also use, has the same plating as Oyaide's top-of-the-line M1/F1 plugs.

What do you mean by "weird sounding?" I'm wondering how long you have the FI50 for? The Furutech rhodium plating requires a very long break in period.

Toga... I don't understand the meaning of "weird sounding". I use Furutech Flux Carbon Rhodium connectors everywhere. Power, IEC, XLR, RCA, banana, spade. All power runs through Shunyata Hydra power conditioners into McIntosh gear. Although the Furutech Flux Rhodium plugs do take awhile to break in, the resolution is OUTSTANDING. I highly recommend these heavy duty jewels.

Hi,
Well.. for me, the FI50. which is pure copper with Rhodium plated plugs. the same as GTX-D R wall socket. It does give me all the resolution that you said. Personally I just don't like the tonality that it make. For me in my system, I felt like system was EQ is some
way. lower freq range is hollow to my ears. But I don't feel the same using GTX-D R wall socket. I put FI50 on MIT Oracle AC2 and Transparent Powerlink MM2. Both gave the same sonic result. But if you like it, well.. that's great, because at this price it should be good.. I may not wait long enough, heard they require extreme long breaking in time too. Now I am happy more with Oyaide 004 on Oracle AC2 and M1F1 in AQ WEL.

I'm not so sure about that. One of my speakers has developed a fault, so they will soon be sent back to Denmark, in the meantime I'll have to make do with a pair of KEF Ci400s (eggs) .
As an apology Raidho are going to upgrade my C2.0s to C2.1s, which means changing everything except the cabinet. There will then be quite a long run in period. I will keep you informed, but it will be some time before the system is back to, (or hopefully even better than?), its current performance.

Howie,
As far as I am aware, Furutech are the only ones making high quality UK mains plugs (that will take a Valhalla cable), and I've not seen a straight copper version, only rhodium and gold. In effect I'm already using a copper plug, as the rhodium has worn off the pins on one of my plugs, to reveal the copper underneath.
