More glorious music from dall’Abaco, and well recorded.

Where did you buy it?

Hmmm...I checked Amazon and it didn't show up! I don't have a Qobuz account. When I went to the site, they sensed I was in the US and said they'd be launching in the US in 2018! Just when is that supposed to happen?

The window asking if you’re in the US is related to streaming, which they say will be available in the US some time this year. If you just close that window, you should be able to select the “Download” tab. Even though you can’t get a streaming account, you may still be able to purchase the download. Some are region restricted, but some are not.

Re Amazon, this link says there’s one available in stock, “order soon.” Does it not show up that way for you? https://www.amazon.com/Violin-Sonata...rds=Dall’abaco

I tried to buy the files, but they said (in French...) it was not available in my country.

It shows up when I click on the link, but it didn't when I simply searched their inventory for it.

John, listening to this via Qobuz.
Indeed very interesting pieces, that require an excellent mastering of the instrument.

Particularly the Variations and Fugue--it's insanely difficult. I think Ogdon wrote most of his pieces for himself, not the general public! Ogdon's wife, herself a fine virtuoso pianist, supervised the recording sessions and assisted Hay with his interpretations.

Johann Caspar Kerll - Johann Joseph Fux - Requiems
Vox Luminis, Lionel Meunier
Qobuz 24/88.2

Listening again to these wonderful Masses.
This young Belgian ensemble is fantastic.
We saw them earlier this season, and it was a great evening.
