Why not? Maybe they have invented a secret copper enhancement?

I guess, could be wrong, it will be around 3000-4000$.
The OPUS SC double the $ of Reference MM. So OPUS PC should be roughly double of PLMM2x.
But before pulling the trigger I should know first what make the Opus PC better. I have to hear the idea behind this new product. Now I am trying Siltech Ruby Doible Crown and Crystal Absolute Dream PC. If OPUS sound nearly as good at much lower price. I better pay for OPUS.

What I am afraid most is that they put a fancy carbon network cover and some Rhodium plated plugs in and bump the price Up to $6,000. Most listeners will hear extra detail out of that rhodium plug as a big improvement. Toga

FYI. I Changed connectors on PLMM to Wattgate 330/350 EVO Gold plated and Rh plated. A big improvement.
Also true on PLMm2 and 2X. Recommended.

How are you liking the Siltech Ruby Double Crown and Crystal Absolute Dream cables? As you mention there is no denying one thing, they are very expensive.

So does Transparent exclusively use copper, never silver? At the prices of their cables, even the non Opus lines one would assume it has to be silver.

Pls stay tuned to the Crystal C able thread. But for here, I have to tell I've never owned any PC that provide more impact and power than Transparent PLMM Series, ok may be except Stage III Minotaur.

Well..
Let's wait a bit more for technical or marketing details.
Very stiff price indeed, do they calibrate the network to match the gear's power supply
behavior like other cables in Opus line.
As I am searching for one more extreme PC, this one is interesting to me.
I've tried Crystal Cable Absolute Dream, Siltech Ruby Double Crown already. One more
to try is Stage 3 Concepts Kraken. Of all this Opus is the least costly. Although other offer silver/gold conductor + expensive connectors.

Well that's much cheaper than I thought it would be, practically a bargain being an Opus product.

If you thought the Minotaur was good , wait till you hear the Kraken . Best I have tried by quite a margin . Then there's big daddy Leviathan , if you really want to go crazy !
