Default Mono cabling...

Hello folks...
Next tuesday I will get my new pair of Harbeth P3ESR. I plan to use them in two different systems, mono each. Of course both of my amps have a mono selector.
How do I connect the speakers terminal at the back of my amps ? Let's say that I connect the right channel to the speaker. Do I let the left output terminals without any wire ? ( SS amps ). Or do I use both outputs biwiring to the single speaker ?
This option looks better to me.
Thanks for your help !

( well if I fall in love with those babies like I fell in love with the 40.1, I may sell the Devore's and have them set up in a regular system...)

With a SS amp, it shouldn't make any difference.

But like you, I would likely "bi-amp", which is what in effect you would be doing, as the P3ESR is single terminal only, is it not?

In theory, you might have a higher current capability depending on how the amp is designed, not that this would be such an issue. Using a double run of speaker cable changes inductance, capacitance etc. So may sound a bit different. Try it both ways to check, won't do any harm.

If you do the bi-amp method, try running the amp in stereo and see how you like the sound. You will be by-passing the Mono switch, and the two channels will be summing at the speaker anyway. Might be a bit better.
