New camera.
I've been wanting to try a "full frame" sensor body camera and today seemed like a good day to go and get one.
So the trusty Canon 30D has been replaced by 5D Mark II. I also picked up a Canon Speedlite 580EX II while I was at the camera store. Didn't get much time to play with it yet but I took a few quick shots with my Canon 24-105mm "L" lens just to try it out. Looking forward to getting to know this camera better. Serge.......Your new camera is a fine photographic instrument. I like Canon cameras, even the little point and shoot One Shot cameras. I bought Marlene a Canon A560 One Shot, and she loves it. It takes impressive photos.
This is my Canon EOS Rebel XTi system. The three lenses are EFS 17-85mm Image Stabilizer, 100mm portrait, and 70-300mm Image Stabilizer. All three lenses use Canon's newest Ultrasonic motor focusing. Very quick and accurate. The Canon battery grip is a nice option. It allows you to use two Canon batteries together, or use lithium AA batteries. This photo was taken with my Fuji S602Z. It's my knock around camera.

Nice camera Serge. You should be able to take some great shots of your gear at night with that high-ISO performance.

I had a Canon 5D (original model) and absolutely loved it - great pictures, excellent build quality. Carried it through Europe a couple of times with great success.
For some unknown reason though, I decided that I needed a built-in flash, and, at the time, the "best" camera on the market that had that feature was either the Olympus E-3 or the Nikon D300. I tried the Olympus and thought it to be an excellent camera, but ultimately, I chose the Nikon D300. Great camera, excellent lenses and, yes, a Built-In Flash, which comes in handy quite often when I need a "little" fill flash. Sold the Canon and all the lenses I had accumulated and I'm quite happy with the Nikon. In retrospect though, I should have kept the 5D and picked up a 40D which was the current small frame Canon DSLR at the time. I can't say that I made a mistake switching from Canon to Nikon, because Nikon is darn good - - but, If I could find a way to switch back to Canon I'd jump at the chance. I have a D300, a 90D and a few lenses and a flash. Anyone want to try a nikon or two? I guess what I'm saying is that Serge, I envy you your new camera.
