Dynamic, bold, punchy, great analog sounding bass, pretty smooth (analog tapes were digitized to 192/24) and really FUN to listen to. If you like The Doors, don't miss out on this limited edition set.

Rhino had quite a few problems with this set at first -- the covers were damaged/smudged/rubbed during shipment and some out of the box looked horrible. Additionally for a reproduction of the original covers even had an issue -- Soft Parade's center label was of the wrong color.

Rhino offered replacements to those that inquired thru the doors website. I received replacement covers along with a letter; that's how the 7 inch 45RPM LP came about -- a bonus for putting up for the problems with the early release issues.

If you are a Doors fan & want them on vinyl -- this is the set to get, IMO.

On a flight from Houston to LA in December, I wound up sitting next to Robby Krieger in First Class and just across the aisle from Ray Manzarek. I didn't bug them because I figured they wanted their privacy, but it was pretty cool to listen to them banter and to see how cool they were with a couple of fans that recognized them and approached them. What was really funny (and neat) was when one guy walked up and said, "Gee, has anybody ever told you you look just like Robby Krieger?" Robby just relied with a big smile, "Yes, it happens all the time. Must be because I am Robby Krieger." The fan was speechless.
