What an absolutely stunning setup and sound room. Would be interesting to see a picture taken from the equipment looking back to your seating position to get a feel for the entire room.

Need your advise. Anyone familiar with Sonus Elipsa? I have a pair of Extremas and somebody offering to swap with SF Elipsa. How much is the fair amount cash that I should add? thanks

275 with speakers

I never seriously considered the Strats with the 275 mono'd because of my room size but a lot of members told me it would be a real good combo. Right now I use them with the Elipsas and am very happy. You should contact Mike Bovaird. Last edited by william13; 01-27-2013 at 10:54 PM. |

Elipsa
I have the Elipsa, its the SE and I like it. I would do it if it was the se but I can not answer for the plain Elipsa. I would take difference in original price of each and divide in half and that is the "most" I would pay for the exchange.

Thanks, I actually chatted with Mike yesterday. Great guy just like everyone else I have met here on AA. He answered many questions and made me feel very good about the direction I am heading. Can't tell you how happy I am finding this community that shares their expertise on such a fun and enjoyable hobby/passion.

A system you should be very proud of.
It's an inviting space to listen to an amazing system. Congrats on all the time and work you've put into it. Kudos to your wife for her support and muscles!! They still would be on the main floor if it wasn't for her. |

Curious as to why you sold the Strads after a few months? Itch for something better?

I have a short list for auditions....including Rhaido's, Magico, Rockport, SF Futuras, Wilson Alexias, DynAudio. But the Aida's that came up on AA (and have been seen and heard by a friend of mine in California - they are legit)......have me thinking hard about stretching my budget. Probably just a pipe dream though. I can't do anything for a couple of months. In the meantime, I'm seriously enjoying my Mementos for now, they sound terrific and that has helped ease the itch.
