Default B10 - Anyone hear it at Berlin?

Hi all,

I was curious about the new compact 2-way due out from Burmester called the B10. It was on display in Berlin and I was curious if anyone heard it. I haven't seen any info on potential pricing or if the initial version will be active only (originally designed for studio use) with a passive to follow later or both released at the same time?

Jeff

I just got some additional information on availability, but not price. The B10 is scheduled for delivery by the end of November. It will be a passive version with an active variant slated for sometime next year.

Yeah, I could see that. To me it seems a little too close to the B20 price, but higher than you'd think seems to be the norm for them. I'd be curious to see what the low frequency response is and details on the selector switch (I think it's one of those for placement compensation).

Separately, I'm wondering what they'll price the 113 DAC unit at. I think it is the smaller box pictured below and I believe will have USB, BT as well as S/PDIF inputs.

The interesting thing is that Burmester is using a standard tweeter. Usually his own loudspeakers use Ribbon and/or AMT Heil Tweeters...!!

I thought so too, especially given the design of the old 022 2-way monitor. We'll have to see how similar it sounds to the B20/25/30 as a result of this difference.

It is much larger than I anticipated, or is the pictures lying? It looks like the same size as the B30, including the stand.
