At my ears Burmester makes real music and Accuphase sound as a good hi-fi system. The main difference is simply this.

The 032 is one of the best integrated power amp ever made in all regards and it is build quality alike a German Tank; over 10 years its production date!!

Hi Ivan,

Still I would invest first in dedicated power supplies, a PS520 in my opinion should only be used if the incoming power supply is really bad.

In that way I am lucky, the THD reading on my PPP is only around 1,2% for the incoming power supply.

But as always this is only my experience, don't want to force feed it to someone else :-)

Olaf

I'm with Rocco, the 032 is outstanding.

I would be surprised if the E-600, which I have not heard, is as warm as the Burmester. The Burmester integrateds (032 and 082) are warmer sounding than the big Burmester separates, which are more open.

As well as Olaf's comment, I have heard from others that the E-600 is not warm per se, and may not give you what you are expecting.

It could also come down to the match with speakers. I think to get the most out of the E-600, you would need to be using speakers with relatively demanding impedance, but not too inefficient. It may also struggle to make power if there were any rising impedances, although typically this occurs in the treble, where not much power is needed.

I thought, Tommy, you were using Guarneri, but I see DeVores in your sig. I am not all familiar with these, but had the impression that DeVore speakers are easy to drive. In that case, the Burmester 082 is also an option if you do not need the additional current that the 032 provides. That is the primary difference between the two.

Built quality off Accuphase is not less then Burmester, if possible try both amps and choose the one you like best.

Always better then listening on a forum to people who plug their own gear. (me included, haha)

Owning both brands, I really don't think you can make a mistake. I do however have two Accuphase systems, and one Burmester system if that means anything.

Or it could mean the Accuphase is the newer toy

+1
Reason I tend to avoid question seeking advise in comparison to brands I own/currently using, as bias will most likely tint opinions, no matter how faint it'd be.

My experience with power conditioners is less favourable then the posts above, I own a PS audio PPP, when I plug the E-600 in there is no improvement. I would invest the money in 1 or more separate power supplies.

Hi Olaf,
Do give P10 a go. I switched from PPP (for front-ends) ~ huge improvement--quieter, warmer/fuller, more dynamic.
With it, I think you should be able to plug your E-600 comfortably reaping the benefits as well--worth a try.
But yes, unfortunately their 230/240v units cost almost double that of its 110v brethren.

Thanks guys for your input. I will be auditioning both brands. It won't be a fair fight because the Burmeister will be 111 + 911 +948 whereas the Accuphase will be E600.

Auditioning at an unfamiliar listening room using unfamiliar speakers and cables isn't very important to me. They will sound different at my place anyway. That's why I seek forum advice.

It's interesting that the Burmeister integrated sounds warmer than the big separates. What about 036 compared to the 911. Does it sound warmer too?
