Ah yes. I am a bit slow on the uptake... I will definitely get some pics once the G2's arrive and describe the rest of the room and components as well. Obviously I am open to auditioning for local members as well once things are in place.

Default Consider Constellation Amplifier?

Hello, Mike. I'm new to the AA forum, too. I'm a tube guy, but am looking for a top solid state integrated amplifier. For your Giyas, I wanted to suggest a look at the Constellation Audio "down-sized" series, the Centaur stereo amp ($24K) and Virgo preamp ($19K). Their Hercules mono amps and Altair preamp total $160K. All I know is, Valin's current review in "the absolute sound" says that the Centaur/ Virgo are "unexcelled in my previous experience of ultra high-end solid-state electronics." I take that to include BAlabo, Soulution, Technical Brain, etc., all of which cost about three times as much. Good luck!

Alaska-

From one Newbie to another, welcome.

Thanks for the heads up on the Constellation Audio amps. I have downloaded the TAS issue and will read this weekend. I have not heard of this company before but that doesn't really mean anything... Thx again.

Mike
