A move to the N01, hmmmm .... i should have gotten something like an msb or dcs gear, which cost double.

Analysing acquiring the N01, futher thinking, it's actually a brilliant marketing move, now i get a streamer, hook up my k01x to it and esentially get a k1 with a bonus, a good deal and keeps me up to date, lovin' it.

I don't like the idea of trading my K01x for half or even less, it's still a fantastic unit.

I will wait to see if it is fully MQA complaint, i do not believe it will be as esoteric are not listed in the MQA as a manufacturer partner.

By taking a non MQA compliant dac section to the N01, it will be left for the N-01X and that's what i will really want
+1

DCS and MSB are modular so you can upgrade them with every news.
N05 and N01 are MQA ready (will be available on ESOTERIC around July 2017)

Curious what ELDC output stage does for soynd quality or is it more for driving capability for a wider range of preamps. I am absolutely happy withe sound of my k01x. Is the D02x not up to yourvexpectations, i am guessng investing in better cables and improving synergy will be more important and bring bring more improvements than just the upgrading of esoteric model, i may be wrong.
I'm happy for the moment with the Esoteric, but these movements do not make me very confident with Esoteric.
Respect Wadax, it will be a new more affordable line on december... Javier (Wadax CEO) is one of the developers of MQA in colaboration with Roon....
Do not forget Wadax. You'll hear a lot in near time.

Looked like N01 is getting more attention here than E02 Phono
Esoteric introduced just weeks before.

Surprised that N01 is still not MQA capable.

Nacho.......I think you should hold out for the Esoteric N-01X that will match the G-01X clock. .

The D02x still processes at 36bit. Where as the K1, and this new N01 are still processing at 35bit. ... so really, you still have a better machine.
