I am a strong believer of Chiropractic approach but it is a crapshoot with many of them. The key is to find a very knowledgeable and reputable Chiropractor. Some years back, a joy ride in a Porsche with a friend behind the wheel turned into a very nasty accident in which I was unfortunately the one who was hurt on the passenger side. After many physical therapy sessions which did not do much, I was able to find total relief with a Chiropractor who put me back on my feet. Seems like you are in good hands with yours as well.

Nice catch Stephen, Hanhart is little know to those outside of watch enthusiasts so your not all that likely to run into another in the wild. Always a plus for me On a side note about watch movements, they can be regulated for accuracy (see video). The process is not all that difficult and could be done as a DIY, which I have done on all my Seiko Monsters in the past. Was able to get an average of +2-2.5 seconds per day which is pretty good. Also can be done by any competent watch repair person.

Hi Don,
Yes, I've thought of doing some of that because I am fascinating by watch-making. I think the discipline watchmaking requires aligns closely to my scientist brain. I love doing complex tasks and activities that require an extremely high level of skill and intellectual rigor. This prediliction translates over to my photographic, photographic lighting and print work, as well.

Long story short, I might start out with doing the famous Seiko "Fifty Five Fathoms" mod where you mod a Seiko 5 to resemble a Blancpain Fifty Fathoms, to get my feet wet. Should be fun; I already have some of the tools, I just need a couple more things from Bergeron, specifically the hands removal tools.

Interesting video Don, thanks for posting. BTW, nice Omega collection you have. To the best of my knowledge Omega produces more of the 'heart of a watch' than any other mfg in world.

Thanks, Omega is one of my favorite brands and for a long time was one of the best values in the mid-range. In the last 3-5 years Omega has upped the price points a good bit and done away with small volume AD's in a attempt to better control pricing, much like Rolex tries to do.

Should be a fun project. Have fun Stephen and looking forward to hearing about your project progress.

I have an inversion table, Jerome, but it doesn't help much with spinal stenosis.
