Hello Michael,

You have had your speakers a few years; are they still winning your heart? Do they have a small or wide sweet spot?
Regards, Roger

Hi Roger..........I still daily enjoy the XR100's . They have a wide sweet spot with great dispersion. Midrange is open and clean.Bass is even and low. There have only been a few times when I wanted that last bass note that a true Full range speaker has.......... Speakers are something I change usually every few years so who knows what's next?

Thanks for the follow up Michael. Your main system is a great selection of equipment. My Martin Logan speakers are over 15 years old! Roger

It's great having a wife who understands and enjoys the audio hobby that their significant other is so deeply a part of. Great christmas gifts from your wife. I think I'll add some of that great Mcintosh stuff to my wish list this year.

Volks...like to set up Macintosh speakers and I learned something recently. Colorization. Apparently the Macintosh speakers do not use colorization. I may be open to listening to them again as my palate is becoming more more refined.

Hello Michael- Thanks for the 'Friends' request. As another Pieces (March 12) I am happy to do so. Curious as to what caught your attention?
Thanks,
Tom

Yes I would agree that Mcintosh speakers are not coloured at all. David I find the XR100's are fast/dynamic and well balanced.........I must admit I sometimes do miss the very deepest bass that my Kef Ref 207/2's provided, but I see a new pair of speakers in my system within a year
