Been happy with APMEX. Buy Gold Bars, Gold Coins and Gold Bullion Online | APMEX
Have also purchased from Littleton's.

I inherited several hundred coins mostly Silver Dollars but some gold 5 & 20 Dollar coins,
I could never get a straight answer as to what they were worth so they have been sitting in a safety deposit box for 20 years.

most $20 gold coins are in the $1500 to $2000 range each, depends on condition, year, rarity etc. The certified ones are really work a lot!

Sorry I missed the "quote" button.

Can you tell us the general year range of these coins? All raw or any slabbed?

I've been collecting gold coins for 30 years. Been buying on the dips. In the late 90s it was a buying binge with gold coming in at 350 ounce.

Looking for some help. I really like the look of the American Buffalo one ounce Gold Proof coin the US Mint is selling. Currently the price for a 2017-W 1oz Gold Proof Buffalo coin is $1,590 which I think means I'm paying a rather large spread vs. current cost of 1oz of gold. Here is where I get confused and want to learn:

Ampex has the following prices right now:
1. 2017 Gold Buffalo BU $1,324
2. 2017-W 1oz proof Gold Buffalo PR-70 PCGS Black Diamond $1,808
3. 2017 1oz Gold Buffalo MS-70 PCGS Black Diamond $1,438

Can someone please explain to me the difference between these 4 options. The price gaps seem huge as they all contain the same 1oz of .9999 Fine Gold?

Appreciate any help or even a good website to read. Everything I read on the web seems to be a sales pitch...

I collect all US coins from 1900 to current. I actually have been trying to get 2 full sets. This way I can pass a set on to each of my kids. I try to get only BU for the general coins and then the mints sets (both silver and clad). They are stored in Dansco albums.

Just bought another 20 uncirculated Walking Libertys (think I'm up to 400). Doing my best to corner the market.

Got all excited and added a couple of Maple Leafs. Can barely lift our safe deposit box, so that will likely curtail future purchases of silver.
