Exactly.

Please, correct me if I am not accurate, but I believe this filter on/off feature exists in the menus of the newer integrated amps with MCT inputs and DSD/DXD rates--suggesting to me that Mac has known about this issue for a while (why else would it be there?).

PM sent.

The feature is definitely implemented on c2600. Another member on the Roon forums reported the exact same issue (First half second muted) and reported back that it was resolved with the addition of a feature enabling the user to turn off the mute / fade in option

Ron C just sent me an updated version, but it's v9 (2). The version jbrow shared is v10, I wonder what's going on....

The new firmware is v1.03. To install that firmware you use the firmware update tool v10.exe. If you are not comfortable or have any questions I would defer to your dealer or Ron.

Can’t wait to get hone tonight to test

Ron confirmed that v9 (2) and v10 both get you to the 1.03 firmware update, so all is good there. The only issue I had was the "Firmware update in progress" screen hung up for about a half hour. Now for the testing!
