Craig, to a a point so does he NFL, if the first team to get the ball manages 'only' a FG the opposing team gets a possession. Now if the first team possessing the ball scores a TD, game over.

Imagine the backlash had this been a Patriot player getting away with something like that! Goodell would have to suspend the entire team.
Seriously though the Saints were robbed of a trip to the bowl. Now the ball's in NFL's end zone......will they run with it or take a knee??

The only satisfactory answer is to have the Saints play the Pats two weeks after the Rams loose to the Pats in the pre-Super Bowl final playoff game.

That missed call was so blatant that am in agreement that some palms must have been 'greased'.

No doubt this call was wrong, we Seattle experienced a bad deal as well against New England.

The great ticket holders and people of New Orleans are suing, I believe I know the outcome but you never really know.

Yes, Romo has enough experience to sit on the side and commentate

Speaking as an occasional fan who's only watched the highlight reels for a few season's, I really like the Saint's and with my limited knowledge of the game, well, they wus robbed.

As I previously indicated it was a terrible missed call that 99% surely cost the Saints the game. That said I don't think it was a conspiracy by the league or the Ref's. My "gut" feeling is that the ref's swallowed their whistles just as umpires and referees do in many sports in the last few minutes of a game. In basketball, hockey and football they often don't want fouls or penalties to determine the outcome of a game. Usually the withheld calls are more of a judgement call than this blatant FUBAR.

It's almost like he has the sideline headset on the way he predicts plays or points out vulnerabilities. He's amazing!
Now if Romo could just pick up some of the shtick & biting dry wit of his Cowboy QB predecessor in the announcing booth, Don Meredith. He and Howard were quite the pair.

IMO Romo is still work in progress. No question he has improved over the course of the season but do you remember the dumb ass prediction he made in the middle of the season with regards to the Steelers ? .........
