Default **APPLE/MAC** . . . . Yosemite Installed

In another thread . . . "Apple Event Today" Jim - Still-One - said that he had installed Yosemite:

Downloaded the program overnight, and, I have just completed installing the update on 3 of my Macintosh computers - two MacBook Pros (mine and my wife's) and an iMac - and so far, I am very impressed.

As Jim said:

And, I heartily agree . . . if it continues to work as advertised, I think the update - which is very major in scope - will greatly improve the pleasure of working with Mac computers.

On the MacBook Pros - the new program seems faster - if anything - and I love the looks of the thing

Good hear about the speed and no glitches so far. I have a fairly new Macbook pro as well, but I'm always cautious on these upgrades since I'm a speed junkie I guess. Post back after you update and let us know how it goes!

I installed Yosemite on my 5+ year old MacBook this morning. Running smooth on all fronts, liking the new graphic look too. A freshly updated OS will tend to run a little faster because it will clean up glitches that can accumulate over time, at least in my experience.

I bought an iMac last month, and am only now getting into setting it up. Since I'm still getting used to Mavericks, I don't want to upset the cart just yet. I'd rather complete the transition from my 2008 Mac Mini first, at least.

Still, perhaps I'll download Yosemite and keep it for the time I'm ready to move on. I wonder about printer drivers and the like as well.

I have never had to worry about printer drivers with OSX. They always seem to automatically show up in the update window.

I have come across one problem since I upgraded to Yosemite. Quicken for Mac 2007 is no longer connecting to my banks or credit card companies.

Also installed Yosemite on my 2010 Imac. Mostly running smoothly except my Canon printer software is incompatible with the new system. Hopefully an update will be available soon.

I also cannot use screen sharing with my Mac Mini. I guess I will have to install Yosemite on the mini as well.

As my mac is 2010 it will not support the handoff feature.

Since I updated my iPad air software the remote app does not work on the mini anymore. The Splashtop app also doesn't work.

Will definitely be listening to vinyl tonight.
