They aren't 10k, but if you want to stretch a little bit, the Shindo Lafites are within sight. Like everything else in this hobby, it would be cheaper to do it right the first time, even if it seems more expensive at first.

These are the black Roiene's like mine that are on that site from France...

The integrated stands on the bottom are easily removed via screws that can be reached through the vent holes, thus reducing the shipping size.

What are the dimensions?

Is this an earlier version of the solovox?

It is not the solovox. I've seen the solovox on European sites, used, going for about $6500. No one will ship to US though...I would think the Solovox would be awesome with Shindo.

13.5" x 11.5" x 23.5" without the stands.

I'm very happy with a pair of Musical Affairs Grand Crescendo speakers - 16 ohm/97db (to which I'm listening while typing). I see that the US distributor, Chicago I think, has a couple of specials on MA speakers including a pair of these under $5k due to cracks in the cabinets - '....They have some long hair line cracks on the cabinets, and some certainly wider. Does not affect the sound. Who knows you may think it adds character to the speakers and make them more interesting.' The pair of 12in PHY coaxial drivers by themselves are worth ~US$4K. Just a thought ... although if you are in NYC(?) it might be difficult to audition.

Yes. Mehran at Sora Sound. Great deal. Those speakers are beautiful.

These 12" phy speakers are interesting. Single driver. Many different versions out there. I would be curious about bass extension. They all have a reasonably wide front baffle.

My petite latours are 16x16" and in a new mid century modern location was exploring narrower and less deep possibilities. These phy driver speakers look the part but at the same size I would go with the petites. (I need something for my office)

I've got a spare pair of Musical Affairs. I've used them for years. They're great but nowhere near Latours. For most, is imagine that the cost difference would come into play.
