SACD's in Japan
Akihabara is a destination in and of its self. Electronics stores with tons of stuff. Side road stalls that make The Mouser Catalog look like a Sunday flyer. Your wife may not enjoy it but you could spend an afternoon or more wandering in and out of the stores. (But it has been 6 years since I was there.)
