We had second row seats last night for Los Lobos and the Mavericks at the Chateau Ste Michelle Winery in Woodinville, WA. The weather was perfect, the music incredible. Los Lobos were great, as always. We’d never seen the Mavericks live before, their music is fun and they’re great entertainers. A wonderful show, and very loud but very good sound.

Tony, thanks for sharing.
Did you take your ear protection this time?

We saw John Prine last night at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle. He’s definitely showing his age, and his voice is pretty craggy, but his engagement with the audience and the emotion conveyed in his singing make up for it. He put on a great show, and the band was excellent. The opening act, Todd Snider, was pretty good as well.

Just saw The Secret Sisters and Ray LaMontagne at the Johnny Mercer Theater in Savannah, GA in a mostly acoustic concert. The only thing plugged in other than the microphones was the bass guitarist from Wilco, John Stirratt.
The sisters were totally new to me but a really nice surprise. A country/folk duo who are on Tidal so I will explore them further later this week. Ray was Ray meaning he was everything I enjoy about him. Soft spoken and a true artist. I would see him again tomorrow.

Okay so it’s not ‘LIVE’ but it is in anticipation of watching him Live.
Caught Joe Bonamassa paying tribute to the British Blues guitar masters of Clapton, Beck and Page on Georgia Public TV tonight. It was filmed in 2018 at the Royal Naval College in Greenwich. Awesome concert and I can’t wait to see him in Savannah next March. Really hope he brings the same band and plays to the same theme.
