Default Not really

The retail is $4995 and I paid MUCH MUCH MUCH less than that. I would never spend $5k on a power cord. I would never spend $3k on a power cord.

With that said, it works and works well. It feeds a Nordost QB8 from the wall at this time but the cost of my system is around the $60k mark. Sonus Faber Amati Futura, Audio Research CD9, VSi 75, Frey 2 interconnects and Red Dawn LS speaker cable. Vintage turntable setup and Jolida JD9 II phono pre. Sounds heavenly and amazingly holographic. The power cord was my biggest upgrade to the sound.

Back to power cords for the Ref 10. Is there any reason to think that a great power cord would be less beneficial on the Ref10 than say a single box preamp simply because
for the Ref 10 the power connects to a separate power supply box (and that by umbilicals to the other unit)?

Can anyway with a Ref 10 say if they felt a power cord upgrade was as beneficial as they've experienced with other, single box, components?

If you use Ref 10, you really owe yourself a good power cord for Ref 10.

I use Venture Audio Jubilee for my Ref 10. It gives you better bass and more solid details.

Difference PC's give you different sound. You have to ask yourself what area of your area needs improvement. Nordost PC tends to give you better treble, general presentation is lighter sound. Transparent cables are just like its name, very transparent. It can be good or bad if you want some improvement in a particular area. NBS PC is famous in its powerful but a bit harsh sound. Cardas cables give you warmer sound at the expanse of details.

+1 for Shunyata Zitron Annaconda. Would love to try one of the newest Sigma cables, but zitron cables are all excellent.
