check out Mike Fremer review on analog planet for the detail.

I received my vinyl box set today, I may break it open and give it a wash this evening, looking forward to comparing it not only to the highly regarded mono version, but also the all analog Blue Box version. I haven't listened to that one in awhile but will be a fun comparison.

Keep us posted Buck! I would love to hear the outcome of your shootout.

I have many different pressings of the White album including 1st UK pressings in stereo and mono. I don’t have blue box or 50th anniversary pressings.

Paul - I compared the A side of the first album with the stereo pressing in the BC-13 Blue Box. Interesting....the 2018 new mix is obviously much cleaner, you can tell immediately that it’s been given some type of remastering treatment compared to the original. The bass is a bit more prominent on the 2018 version, vocals are a bit fuller. You can really tell on “Dear Prudence”....the bass is more prominant and further in front. The BB pressing sounds a bit thinner/leaner but in some ways a bit more analog.....hard to put down in words. The soundstage on the BB pressing seems a bit wider and more spacious than the 2018 but again, the imaging on the 2018 is much cleaner and sharper. Pretty cool so far, I’ll have to check out the rest soon, but as from a pure audiophile sound quality perspective, I would say the 2018 wins so far. I suspect the mono version would be ultimate winner, but hard to say since you’re not really comparing apples to apples (no pun intended)

- Buck

Edit - I just put on side A from the mono box .....winner winner so far

Thanks Buck! Others I’ve either spoken to or read about have come to the same conclusion as you.

I will most definitely have a white Christmas.
