The E-270 has an MM/MC selector button. Does it have an internal phono-stage? When reading the AD-30 phono-card info, it states that the MM/MC button is deactivated when the AD-30 is used.

It has a card slot for one option board. No internal phono stage.

Default E-270 Questions

The info sheet on the E-270 states switching between mm/mc on the front panel is possible. I can look in the user manual later tonight.

I have a 2400 with a similar switch.
It doesn't have an internal phono stage, you have to insert a module.
The switch operates functionality in the module.
BTW I also have front panel switches for altering the input impedance.

After re-reading the info on their website with my glasses on I see that it is the other modules that disable the front panel MM/MC selector.

As much as I love accuphase, their website leaves much to be desired.

When bi-wiring with the E-270 does one select "Speaker A" and run both sets of speaker cables from "Speaker A" terminals to the speakers or does one select "Speaker A+B" and run one set of speaker cables from each set of speaker terminals?

The 1st scenario would be the traditional method.
Having said that, there would be no harm in tying both and seeing which works/sounds best.
Report back with your findings?
