For those of you about to assemble, here is some closeups of where the brackets go and the correct position. To save yourself some time before you begin anything, put all the screws into the shelve holder brackets (it is quite time consuming but will help you later when all you will have to do is slide them into the racks). The nicest feature of this rack is that I can position the middle shelf wherever I want it (or any shelf for that matter).

Thanks! I'm in the middle of assembling mine, most definitely something you have to think through and not get in a tosh for. I actually had to call Steve today but I'm very glad I did, he set me straight.

I assembled a BBQ one time and swore I'd never do that again.

The first time isn't easy. I have the double wide with four shelves and it took me a good 4 hours (at least) to put together as I recall. I bought it about 3 years ago. Thebenz is giving some good tips though that might save someone from making the mistakes I did. Of course I'm not exactly coordinated when it comes to putting things together.

When you see how heavy the wood is too, you will understand (each piece weighs about 70 pounds). On a side note, I got the recessed shelving so I could get more space.

Sweet! A fine looking rack.

I haven't exactly been working on it all day; just when I've had a chance. I've put in maybe 7 hours at most. More pics tomorrow...

A few tweaks to do but pretty much done. Now my quest to hunt down why my amp is humming like crazy in my speakers. Notice the empty spot on the bottom right waiting for a C2300?
