I have a Lazy Boy Leather Sofa that also reclines. You can sit up straight, legs elevated, and or recline to various positions. Also allows me to sit dead center between the speakers at about 14 feet away or to the right or left of center.
And I can have a guest. This allows you to be comfy, feel relaxed and vary your ear position to the speakers height as well. I find you need to feel relaxed and yes sometimes I will fall asleep after a long night, but that is not a bad thing.. PS I really like those Chairs Ivan... |

They also sit a little low, and when I was at the dealer about 15 minutes from me, I kept wanting to use two of the swivel rings under the chair to raise its height. |

what a great looking room. i also use chairs that only come up to my shoulders. i used to have a lazy boy with a high back. the difference in sound reflection is very noticable to me. the only drawback with the lowback is the inability to fall asleep in it without head support. wish we could have chairs that have height adjustments

Don't laugh....but I've read that the optimum for some speakers is ears at 1.1 meters. That's what I would be looking for in my next chair. Proper height.

I think the optimal height will be dependent on the speakers and the height of the tweeter and mids but 1.1 meters could be a good starting point for most average size floor standing and bookshelf (on stands) speakers.

That was one of the key selling points of the X2 Series 2 for me. The ability to adjust all three top modules based on your ear height and the distance from the speaker.

We have this 60" loveseat ordered from Restoration Hardware. I wanted something where I can sit in the sweet spot between the speakers in the listening room, but that would also be equally inviting for my wife to come sit with me to listen together.
It will replace a smaller Crate & Barrel chair.
