My solid-state Yamaha a-s2000 integrated amp sounds very...TUBE-LIKE...NOW !!

It is funny indeed to see how many SS amps users swear by "tube like" sound as a sign of quality and music. A simple advice : don't try to make your SS amp sound as a tube amp. Buy a tube amp !

I was thinking of trying some but now there is one reason for me to stay away....

I think I will save this upgrade 'till after I am sure my amps are broken in. It is better if you don't insert too many changes at one time.

Absolutely Jim. That is the exact same advice I gave to Dan for his new 2301's : wait until the amps are fully broken in before inserting the new fuses: but Dan already had this in mind. He does not need the advices of a teenager and I learn much more from him than the opposite
