Just heads up on this product.

I purchased the BDP Pi as a Roon End Point to drive my Schiit Gungnir DAC. No joy with the USB compatibility... I've spent a few hours on the phone with the excellent Bryston technical support but at the end of the day there was no solution.

If you are considering this product, would be wise to check ahead to make sure it will be compatible with you DAC if you are planning to use USB. As it stands, I can only use the Coax SPDIF with my Schiit Gungnir multibit DAC.

As said in the review, the vlaue proposition is not an easy one for this model. It's basically a pi with a linear PSU. If you don't need the screen or the pretty box, you can save some money going DIY

I am warming up to the Bryston Pi. Using the Coax SPDIF to feed my DAC and as a Roon end point. Comparing to the USB straight from the computer, it sounds just as good, no sound quality issues and I like the little black Pi with the TFT screen and the compact size. Looks cool.
My Pi is black.
