Don.......How did your electrician do today? Was he able to complete your work list in a single day, or will he have to return?

He'll be back tomorrow. Today installed the outdoor GFI outlet, three recessed lights in the hallway, ceiling fan box in spare bedroom. Has all the recessed light cutouts and ceiling fan cut outs done. He showed up today at about 8:30am and worked until about 2:00pm. He's also going to give me a second light switch so the recessed lights and ceiling box will have their own switch (a small detail I didn't even think of). Nice work so far and really took his time laying everything out

Thanks Dan,
Outlets installed today as you described, breaker, space, breaker (vertically).
Electrician also wondered if there was any advantageous reason to route the wires together through the same holes in floor joists or separately (more holes and weaker joists). As far as you know, do the wires pick up any interference or noise from the proximity to each other or to other household wires (dryer wiring, low voltage, dimmer wiring, etc. I'm not talking connected to but near to. We figured route them together till the wall where they are installed about 4 feet from each other and try to give them some space from other wires running along the basement ceiling (through floor joists).
Thanks
Chris

Chris.......You figured correctly. You can install both cables in the same joist holes without an issue. Your plan is solid.
