Jim...very neat video. Although I have to chill out on our hobby because when I saw the title of your post, I immediately thought about John DeVore's new speakers that he launched at CES called The Orangutan and I was asking myself whether there was a new associated loudspeaker line called the Hound :screwy:
But thx for the post. That was a cool video. |

All his speaker lines are named after chimps. His main line of speakers are Devore Gibbons (Gibbon 3XL (monitor), Gibbon 8, Gibbon Super 8, and Gibbon 9). His reference speaker is the Devore Silverback Reference. And now he just came out with the Orangutan which is altogether a different speaker topology for him (they look like Audio Note and Shindo speakers but I am not sure what their design principle is as of yet). I just saw pictures in the CES show reports.

Lol.
I just got back yesterday from a week in Hungary where I escorted a male 15 year old Orang Utan from the Sosto Zoo to our Zoo in Hong Kong to join our primate breeding programme (no wise cracks!). Luckily we didn't need to use any tranquilisers. This ape can really rock! (his cage I mean!). Minus 6 celsius, overnight in Luxembourg and then minus 15 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Unbelievably they don't remove ice or snow from the runways much in Kazakhstan. You can imagine what 360 tonnes of cargo 747-400 feels like on ice! This is one trip not easily forgotten quickly! howie |
