Been driving my S3's with Pass XA100.5's and very happy with the results. So much so that I'm looking at maybe getting a set of S1's for another room in the house. Would plan to use a smaller integrated setup for those.

Hey Joey, got your pm. I'll email you when I get back to Dallas. Loved the s3 and 802 d3.
Wife also loved both. To me the s3 had something special going on. Of course it might have been the amp. 802 was on mc452 vs the constellations on s3. The classical piece I listened to on the s3 wowed me, the 802's impressed me. The bass between the two was the biggest difference. Issue is the s3 will be replaced at any time and the 802 d3 will be here for a while. I see more auditions in my future

Great Pooya!
But do listen to these speakers in your room, or at least with your electronics.

Michael, just ran across this post and was curious if you listened to the Burmester 911 and Ayre MX-R's back to back on these S5's as shown in the picture.

Hi,

Burmester 911 and Ayre MX-R's back to back on these S5's as shown in the picture:

for me the MXR is sooo better s the 911 that have no sense do a test..well my personal taste.

Magico with the mk2 (S1 too) is very great.
I use Sasha2 and I change without regreet the Wilson with the S1mk2. the S3 are too "old".... the mk2 serie is much better and with the new year the S3mk2 will be amazing.

in my country a S5mk2 is priced 38172.33 USD. with the Sasha2 (18 monhs old) i can have max 17800 USD.

Wilson play very different vs Magico and not always "better" but a pair of Magico will be sure not bad.....

If you're looking at new speakers in this space check out Raidho and Rockport. I listened to S3's back-to-back with Rockport Atria's and thought the Rockports to be significantly better. I adore my Raidho's, they are quite special.

I loved the old wood-body Magico's, but could not warm up to the metal body models I've heard.
