Nick... starting your screen at 23.5" from the floor is too low. Your other layout showing 33.4" is the better way to go.

I agree with Ivan that 23.5 would seem to be too low. This is also dependent on your seating arrangement. In my theater room I have 2 rows of seats. Even with the back row raised, I needed to place the screen high enough so when seated reclined in the back row I had clear line of sight to the screen without my view obstructed by the front row. At the same time I needed to be sure it was not too high for the front row. Having the screen higher also allows more flexibility to change the height of the center channel for ideal listening. Looks like an awesome project.

What a day yesterday! After leaving much later than normal, I arrived in Sydney at 3:30 PM and proceed to pickup item 1. I then spent the next 30 minutes in traffic only covering 5 km to the next shop to pickup items 2 and 3.

Arriving only 20 minutes before closing I finalise the paperwork and loaded the items into the back of my SUV. There was less than half a centimeter leeway in the boot to fit what I have nicknamed the Arc of the Covenant (aka Indiana Jones).

Once all the items with in place I then made my way to meet my brother in law at a local jazz bar hang out for a well-deserved beer and followed on with a very nice dinner before I made the three hour return trip back home arriving at just before midnight.

Nick.......You really should take the time to resize your photos in photo editing software to no larger than 1200 pixels wide before posting them on AA. Having to scroll up, down, and side to side to view only part of the photo is not good..
