OK, I have exciting updates today.
As much experiences that I have regarding power cable, I think I missed it big time. RP10+C37 was quite disappointing in the first day, sounded flat and boring. I was trying to feed C37 from Accuphase PS-520 which is 3 meters away, I had no choice but to use a DIY PCOCC cable I made for Martin Logan subwoofer as a power cord. Today, still unhappy, so I tried something different and .. eureka ! I disregard the dedicated circuit and power conditioner requirement, I use the nearby outlet instead, this made me able to use std. 2 meters power cords. So feeding C37 with Transparent PLMM2X or Kubala Elation, or Shunyata Alpha Digital made my day. now C37 sound very powerful, has more kick and very neutral. I will have to borrow Shunyata Sigma Analog and Siltech Double Crown. to see how far it can go. Well, with Siltech, it costs just as much as C37 itself. So C37 has to go without power conditioner. A small sacrifice in order to be fed by high end cord. Toga |

and this makes the self conditioning concept of Shunyata Sigma Analog fit this set up very well.

Just for curiosity, have you tried to power the C-37 to normal outlet (no power conditioner) AND with normal cable, just to see if it was not the cable but the power conditioner that made it sound dry?

The DIY cable I used that caused the flat and lack of power sound is Japanese Kripton PCOCC 5.5 sqmm. With Furutech FI 15 Plus connectors. Today I prepared more of DIY cables for this comparison. They are Acrolink, Acoustic Revive, with Furutech FI48 and Oyaide PC 004 connectors. Toga |

I confirmed, PS520 was not the cause. Be it Acrolink 4030 II + Furutech FI48, Kripton PC-HR1000+ Furutech FI 15 Plus. Both had good resolution and reasonable bass. But none comes close to power and details of Transparent PLMM2x+Furutech FI 48.
Next to try are Siltech Double Crown and Crystal Cable Absolute Dream. Toga Last edited by TOGA; 03-19-2015 at 12:15 PM. |

Mine don't start sounding right until after 3mths. Could sound a tad plodding (thick/sticky/slow), and a bit muted up top for first couple hundred hours. Btw. I have the Acrolink N9500 (feeding power conditioner), excellent resolution, top and bottom extension, speed, powerful bass, but where's the mids I thought.. A little too dry, bright and flat (2D-like) for my taste. In this application, Shunyata Sigma HC is clearly preferred. Will try on sources and see what happens. Have fun! |

Thank you.
Sigma Analog is on my audition list too. Your Acrolink 9500 experience is similar to mine when using Acoustic Revive tuned Oyaide R1 outlet, great overall but where is the mid. It is feeding the C37 now however. Toga. |

Today I got this inverse- RIAA device.
I used Oppo to burn in C37. But I got strong hum. So I tried iPad headphone output instead, in battery only mode. No hum and worked well. This will accelerate burn in process without wasting stylus life. Toga. |

300 hours of playing time for C37 will be reached soon.
