Jim,

According to Pass, they consume 500 watts each side whereas the XA160.5's consume 600 watts per side. So hopefully Michael will not roast (too much) in the summer.

Jim, they're not any warmer to the touch than the 160.5s. But, there are now four chassis and thus more surface area that radiates heat. It's never bothered me but I'll see if I change my tune this August/September.

Right now, soundstage and separation are incredible. Yeah Jeff this will hold me over for a bit .

Congrats. Wait until you put 400-500 hours on them if you like them now! Don't believe the short break in Pass mentions in the manual. Heat is not that bad either and I have the 300s.

I think I have about 400 hours on the Xs300s and they've gotten smoother, but were still damn good out of the box. Enjoy!

Only drawback thus far is seating position; sweet spot has shrunk and I notice it more when someone walks through the speaker's path to me.

Quick iPhone pic...more to come as I break these monsters in.

---- Totally awesome! ...If I may simply say.
