2nd Fathom 113
Improvement from the Fathom 113:
1. 75% of the improvement is from the 1st F113 2. 25% of the improvement is from the 2nd F113 Unpacking, sliding into place with furniture sliders on the feet and wiring into the system is a piece of cake. Room optimization is simple and fun and the adjustments on the front panel give almost infinite versatility for settings but Dan, on a previous thread. gave his settings and I find them almost perfect for my room as well.I have both Fathoms operating in the Master modes with balanced cables from my right channel out and left channel out of my C500p preamp. The Fathom subwoofer is a smooth, musical and depth enhancing addition to my system. They give an immense soundstage and a feeling of being there at a live performance. They can shake the entire house or be at a minimal setting but, when switched off, the music system seems much smaller. One Fathom is impressive, the 2nd Fathom provides a balance and fullness that feels just right to me. I highly recommend them. The finish, solidity and function of the F113 is first class. First class also is dealing with Ivan.

Awesome Howard!
 May I be so bold as to recommend one thing? You need some Symposium Rollerbocks between your F113 & the first piece of gear; minimum (on both sides) They are incredibly inexpensive, and perform like nobody's business. I happen to use them on every source component. You can easilly get away with the Rollerblock Jr's also. Just PM me for your special needs. Again, Super Job!

Howard, congrats on the second Fathom! I really loved what a second sub did for the soundstage in my own system. I also run my pair as 2 masters by the way for that true stereo effect.
I do have to say, parking your gear on top of the subs is a really bad idea for many reasons and the biggest one is the chance your gear will start to fail from the vibrations. The Fathoms are pretty well designed/built but the cabinets do resonate a bit here and there.

I previously had one F113 with my system and I really felt the soundstage was "wrong" with one summed sub. I sold it and I just received my first F112 from Ivan and I'll have the second F112 near month's end. I'll be running them as masters also. Can't wait to hear a pair with this current system that I have and I look forward to adding "2-F112's" to my signature line. Great post!
