In regards to your question. It usually go for around anywhere between $7,500~ $ 9,000 used market and they are usually cherry finish. (Ebony and Rosewood are extra cost )

Hope this help
And anyway they are all very rare on the used market.

Let's play nice kids.

I have heard the Shindo's and they are easily the best speakers I have ever heard, that said they are still overpriced for my ears.

John,
I trust you. I am not saying that the Shindo's are not better. I'm saying that I do not need anything else than the Harbeth sound.

Harbeth recommends Skylan. I found them to resonate a lot on my suspended floor and they gave a somewhat boomy bass. Replaced the spikes of the stands with Pro Audio Bono Acrylic Anti Vibration Feet and they fixed that.

There are multiple stands up to 12k a pair ( !! ) that are made for the M40.1....

Jerome,

I am happy you've found your ideal speakers. I am also very attracted to them based on all the descriptions of how they sound --- a great match for people whose sonic tastes lean toward the "Shindo sound".

Thanks Alberto.

Yes they will appeal to Shindo lovers. But they need at least 30 W per channel to sing. The little ones are less power hungry.
