Boulder 1108 phonostage, just arrived at the dealer’s yesterday and went in the rack last night, replacing the Boulder 508. It’s a beast, especially compared to the little 508. So far the change is a big step up, but haven’t had much time with it yet. More to come. IMG_1491.jpg

Thanks Freddie, I’m very happy with the results. The 1108 is awesome, so far it’s living up to expectations. Transients are sharper (drum attacks are great), strings have more sheen and are smoother, imaging is tighter, textures are clearer (like the difference in sound of a violin vs viola) - it’s bringing out the best in my Koetsu. The 508 it’s replacing is a great phono stage, but this is a real step up.
