Caelin... You make mention of the new ΞTRON Alpha Digital cord that you are using with your new Kronos turntable. Please announce what you have in store for our further consideration!

Caelin,
When is the Alpha being released? Where is it placed within the Zitron products? What will be the cost? Thx!

I'm thinking your new products may pacify computer/ATX power supplies.... Or even external AC/DC switch-mode power packs used by popular 'Silent PCs' & CAPS media servers such as Streacom... Last edited by MyPal; 09-11-2013 at 10:50 AM. |

It is a unique power cable in that it is application specific. It is designed very specifically to deal with power line noise as produced from digital components. We have expanded the complexity of the ZyTron circuit to include the ability to reduce RFI and impulse noise. So it would be difficult to place it in the hierarchy of cables. Because of its very narrow and very specific design it will significantly out perform conventional cables when used on a digital type component. Would this work best on the Devialet over your other products?

Caelin,
How does this compare with the current Zytron line of cables? For example, I am using the Cobra on my DAC, and digital file player? Is the Alpha sonically better? Also, since this is an improvement of the Zytron technology, then I would assume we will see it incorporated into the current models at some point. Thanks.

I am not familiar with the MT10 and its power supply. In an ideal world, I prefer to group all the wall-warts, computers and specifically digital devices onto a power distributor and then put the "audio" components on a separate distributor. You don't need two dedicated lines to do this (although that would be best), you can simply plug one distributor into the top outlet in the duplex (US circuits) and the other into the bottom duplex. cg

No, the Devialet is an integrated amplifier with an integrated DAC.
It requires a very small IEC connector to physically plug into it. We make a PC designed for the Devialet. It is called the ZyTron Z-PC10. cg

The Alpha Digital PC does not replace any current cable. It is an application specific cable and works alongside the existing cables. To use a medical analogy, you can think of it as a specific drug that targets a specific disease. cg
