Happy 20th Anniversary to ARC
Hi,

The Classic 120's were great amplifiers. I owned them with a SP15A and they are still playing beautiful music in the system of a good friend living less than 60 miles from me!

Hello,
I m a big fan of Audio Research I own a pair of VT150SE, really fantastic amplifier, build for the 25th years of Audio Research. The association with LS5MKII is just amazing ! I know the pair of CL120, that i ve onwed also, i guess the VT150SE are just more natural.

Hello the Forum,
Many thanks for your messages. I use the VT150SE with the LS5MKII on a pair of TAD Speaker (they are known in Europe as TSM2 and in US as 2402 reference). Those speakers are based on 16" woofer and 2" Alnico driver with wooden horn, they are quite efficient (97.5db). I own also a nice set on other Audio Research components for the TAD a pair of Reference 300MKI with a Reference 3 Line Stage. Honesly i really like both set, the Ref300-Ref3 provide maybe more definition, with a better high and a more extended bass than the VT150SE-LS5MKII. The VT150SE-LS5MKII are really sounding very natural, with maybe a more realistic image. I m not into the more recent Audio Research product (even if i own a Ref3 and a DAC7), i guess it's more because i don't have the opportunity to listen to them. I use also the excellent Audio Research speaker cable Linzlink (the grey one) Laurent
