Whatever, here's a couple pics. Note that the brackets are quite specific to my installation where I was able to use the beams in the barn and keep the speakers a nice distance from the wall. I made them out of 1-1/4" steal angle iron, and cut and welded them to what I needed. I bolted them to the back of the speaker boxes with through bolts, reaching inside to hold the nuts by removing the connection panel/crossover from the back. Nice and solid. The speakers fill this big room very nicely. Perfect for what I wanted.

That's a nice looking set-up in a nice shop. Are you a pro or a hobbyist?

Agreed! I’m driving a pair in the exercise room with only 100 Watts. It can get you motivated for sure!

Wicked shop!
What a sweet set-up. Your brackets look really fantastic. Those loudspeakers fit in perfectly. Looks like a really relaxing place hang out and work. Congrats on having such a wonderful space to enjoy!

Thanks for the nice comments. It is a great place that as been years in the making. Here's a couple more shots showing off more of the fun. I'm not a pro, just a serious hobbyist, and a tool junkie. (I really should start a separate thread on this).

I owned Hersey I. that were bought preowned for 20 years making them 30 years old and they did a great job up in the top corners of the Master bed room pushed by a MC 2505. I had a little 6 band Audio Control EQ to touch up the bass, and the sound was great. 2 to 4 watts was all we ever needed. The response was smooth from 50 HZ on up with a nice small roll off in the highs. When we decorated they had to go. But they now live in a choir rehearsal room in a large Baptist church and the sound they reproduce of the choirs singing is just fantastic.
We sold Klipsch for many years, and the II series was a little brighter and could be a little irritating for me with the factory made mid and tweets. But later on they updated the crossover and that corrected the issue. Herseys like other Heritage speakers were always being up dated so a little research is in order. |
