Does anyone have direct experience comparing these two cables?

sorry Ken,

for my taste for interconnets and speakers cables Cardas (Clear and Clear light are very great products) is much better vs Shunyata ( more musical, dynamic, soundstage,..)
and for power cord sure Shunyata is the best.

Ken you use the Clear light for speaker and XLR or?
I have the Wireworld silver electra as xlr (pre-ampli and pre-source) - speakers Kimber monocle xl.
I will try the Cardas Light for speaker and xlr.
another great cable is the "itr Ramses"

Do you mean "Cardas for speaker and interconnect, no way"?

Meaning all Shunyata is preferred? Don't quite follow your recommendation.

at jax4736:

sorry for confusion.

I like Cardas Clear (Clear light too) for speaker cable and XLR interconnect (preampli-> power ampli and premapli-> source)

For the power cord go with the Shunyata.

I hope you can understand.

Hi Omar,

Thanks for the clarification. I am currently using the Clear Light XLR interconnects and speaker cables. The interconnects and speaker cables are solid performers. There is a smoothness and natural warmth to the sound, which I feel is due in part to a modestly rolled off treble response. I am looking to upgrade in order to gain some additional transparancy, detail and improved imaging. But I don't want to lose smoothness and warmth of sound that I already have.

Best,
Ken

I'll do a comparison when I get my Anaconda SC burned in. So it will be a comparison between the Cardas Clear Beyond SC & Anaconda SC. I'm even getting a loaner cable for my preamp->amp connection so it will be comparing an all-Zitron loom versus all Zitron with the Cardas SC.

My comparison will take a while to come, as I want to get the Anaconda SC burned in first. I don't have the Anaconda SC yet, but hope to have them within 10 days or so.

Hi Ken,
cables like the wireworld silver electra (silver & opper) or other in pure silver with powerampli in class A have a sound more dinamic and the class A they give you a result not "analytic" as a Class AB amplifier.....

Full silver cabels are too much for my taste. the sound in no more as you self write "smoothness and natural warmth" -> roll off is typical of cables that correct their "sound" with this effect.
Cardas Clear & Clear beyond are much more expensive of the Light version and the roll of in not so present but does not always mean better sound (especially if the whole system is not in full harmony!)

Nordost with the Frey2, valhalla, odin (= the top of the line) are much more direct without roll of effect (even without being in pure silver)
and normally have a very good result on the sound.

Shunyata as speaker and interconnect cabel is not for my taste.
On the other hand as the power cord is really really good.

A upgrade from your Cardas light if you like the sound smoothness and natural warmth is not Shunyata.
I search too a new xlr for the preampli - powerampli connection and I will try the Cardas product.

B rgds
Omar

Omar, can you specify what direct experience you have with the zitron anaconda speaker cable and zitron anaconda interconnect? You are talking very definitive but it could be misleading if you haven't used those specific cables in your system(?)
